Accessibility Statement for Coastal Explorer USA, LLC
At Coastal Explorer USA, we are committed to ensuring that our experiences—both online and in person—are welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all visitors. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the beauty of the Southern California coast and participate fully in our guided tours.
Website Accessibility
We strive to make our website accessible and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. Our goal is to follow widely recognized accessibility standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to improve functionality, readability, and navigability for all users.
Our ongoing efforts include:
- Clear and consistent site navigation
- High‑contrast text and readable typography
- Alt text for images whenever possible
- Captioning or transcripts for multimedia content
- Keyboard-friendly navigation
- Responsive design optimized for screen readers and assistive technology
If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website or have suggestions on how we can improve, please contact us at: info@coastalexplorer.org
Tour Accessibility
We believe everyone should be able to experience the coast. Because our tours take place in a variety of natural environments—beaches, tidepools, pathways, and overlooks—accessibility can vary by location. However, many of our tours can be adapted or customized to support people with disabilities.
Accessible Options May Include:
- Routes avoiding stairs, steep slopes, or uneven terrain
- Shortened or modified paths with alternative viewpoints
- Slower-paced tours
- Support for guests using mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, etc., where terrain allows)
- Adjusted tour content focused on sensory, visual, or interpretive experiences
- One-on-one interpretive assistance when available
We are happy to work with you to find or create a tour that matches your needs.
Requesting Accommodations
To ensure the best possible experience, we encourage guests to let us know about any accessibility needs in advance. This helps us tailor the tour, recommend the best route, and ensure your safety and comfort.
Please reach out with questions or accommodation requests: info@coastalexplorer.org
Service Animals
Service animals trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome on most tours. Because we operate in sensitive coastal habitats, we may provide specific guidance on appropriate areas or routes to ensure protection of wildlife and tidepools.
